25 Nominations for the “Red Bus 2013”

The international innovation and marketing competition “Red Bus 2013” will host an award ceremony on the 24th July 2013, which will take place within the scope of the 39th RDA-Workshop in the foyer of exhibition hall 10 of Koelnmesse. With this competition the RDA International Coach Tourism Federation awards outstanding performances within all industries and sectors along the coach and group tourism value chain.

For this year’s competition about 80 applications were received from coach and group tour operators, their German, French, Italian, Austrian, Polish and Slovenian contractual partners as well as from (applied) university students handing in their dissertations. The jury nominated a total of 25 applications for seven different categories: Prizes will be awarded for professional performance during the RDA Workshop in 2012, outstanding marketing activities, as well as in the categories innovation, internet and media, tour operators’ and tour operator partners’ catalogues. Further, the winner of the young talents category and the RDA surprise award will be announced.

The „Red Bus“ main objective is to reward exceptional performances under consideration of innovation, creativity, sustainability, originality, legal accuracy, originality and professionality in order to bring forward the coach and group tourism industry as a whole as well as new talents. The “Red Bus” competition was originally initated by the specialised journalist and RDA marketing consultant Gerd-Niels Wötzel. Patron of the competition is the International Coach Tourism Federation, sponsor is the RDA-Workshop Touristik Service GmbH.

Numerous company representatives from the coach and group tourism industry, RDA members and the jury are going to attend the ceremony. Out of the nominated applications seven winners will be announced and all nominees will be awarded. The ceremony taking place in the foyer in exhibition hall 10 and starts at 3:30 pm and is open to all RDA-Workshop visitors.
